The major changes seem to be bug/security fixes (Plenty of them; Firefox 1.0 is a substantially more secure browser than it's predecessors) and better tabbed browsing. Also, I'm told there's improved rendering of malformed HTML.

Even I just logged on to check if you posted to announce to release of Firefox 1.0 !

Nit, there are so many times when people say that a browser is more secure than the previous version and jazz like that. But Have you ever really ..hmm.... I don't know how to put it across... like felt the difference? While browsing have u ever felt the need for more security... or have u been in a situation where u realized that ur security has been compromised due to a bug in the browser or something like that? How many people do you think really care about having a more secure browser.. n how do you try to explain to a layman the need for more security!?
